  • ANSWERS:

  • How did you get so many bricks?

  • Basically much time and work goes into making connections across the world that help me obtain the bricks I need for my collection. I could not have done this without MUCH help from my friends worldwide. I mostly trade the bricks I have for the bricks I need there is times I buy - but mostly I trade with my friends who are also collectors.

  • How do you find out when there is a new brick?

  • It depends on where the brick is given out. Legoland California has a newsletter for year pass holders that tell the next few bricks and dates they will give out. If you can find out when a Lego store is going to open up they have bricks for their opening. The only real tricky ones are the bricks given out at the various events Lego has. For example - the 2003 'What Will You Make' truck tour, the tour in the USA did not have any bricks, but the tour in Great Britain had the What Will You Make brick. With situations like this it helps to have friends that let you know about these bricks. Also visit the PromoBricks forums to keep up with fellow collectors.

  • How do you store your bricks?

  • I keep ALL of my bricks (ones in my personal collection as well as ALL of my extra bricks) in their own 2" x 3" bag. I use Darice 'Craft Designer' bags. You can buy these bags at Michaels Craft store locations (in the USA). These bags provide the perfect fit and prevent the bricks from getting scratched and from being exposed to the elements that promote the bricks fading or otherwise getting dirty. There is no better way to store them other than keeping them in their own separate bags. For the bricks in my personal collection I also put the already bagged bricks in a snack bag so I can keep the two (I like to have two of each brick) bricks together.

  • How do I know if there is a Lego Store opening in my area?

  • This is not as easy as it seems. For years Lego has been VERY tight lipped about the locations of new Lego stores and you had to rely upon fellow Lego fans just happening to stumble upon a construction sign in their local mall and reporting it on discussion sites such as Lugnet or the PromoBricks forums. But Lego once has actually published a list of yet-to-open stores on the 'coming soon' section on the Lego store page on Lego.com.

  • Can I use your pictures of the bricks?

  • YES! I just have three simple requests: That you do not hotlink my pictures, please upload the pics to your own web server. Do not remove or alter the 'www.PromoBricks.com' logo that I place on my pictures. And do not claim the pictures as your own. I try to have very high quality scans of the bricks for everybody to enjoy and to use.

  • Can I buy any of your bricks?

  • Yes, I often sell the extra bricks I have. I often place these bricks in my Bricklink shop. You can find the Duplo bricks HERE and the Fabrick style bricks HERE. I may have other bricks for sale all you have to do is ask. But I am always trading for bricks! You can take a look at my complete list of bricks I have for trade HERE.
