Technic Coaster Brick Technic Coaster Brick

Cologne / Köln Store Brick 2002 Cologne / Köln Store 2002 Brick

This brick was given out to celebrate the opening of the Lego Store in Cologne / Köln, Germany sometime in 2002. This has proved to be a VERY hard to get brick. If you look close you can see it was overprinted. The first run of these said "ÖFFNUNG KÖLN 2002" and I guess rather than throw away all the bricks with the spelling error they decided to overprint it with the correct "ERÖFFNUNG KÖLN 2002".

Brick Or Treat 2003 - Version B Brick or Treat, 2003 - Version B

This is the alternate version of the above brick. This brick was not given out at Legoland, but at various locations like the Lego stores across the country. You can tell this brick came from the Lego stores because it has the Lego logo instead of the Legoland and Brick or Treat logo. And for the first time I would say this version is more common than the Legoland version. There are many more Lego stores open now than ever before and you could get this brick at any of them. Also the amount of time you could get the Legoland version was the shortest it has ever been in the history of this brick.
Massachusetts Stores Brick 2003 Massachusetts Stores 2003 Brick

New Year's Eve 2004 Version A Brick New Year's Eve 2004 Version A Brick

The story on this brick is still unclear, but I have bene told this was meant to be a test brick only. It was not given out to guests on New Year's Eve as the other version of this brick was. The only place this brick was given out was to children once they took the Lego Factory Tour and were lucky enough to be greeted by the Legoland employee staffing that area who had this brick for the short time she had them. This version says 2004 and the printing of the 2004 is off center on all of the bricks. I actually think this would have been the better brick to give out - since it was to celebrate New Year's Eve in 2004.

This version has 2005 printed on it and unlike the other version the 2005 is centered on the brick. I think this brick is very misleading as if you did not know you would think this brick was to celebrate New Year's at the END of 2005, not 2004 as it really was meant to celebrate. I can only hope they follow Legoland Deutschland's example and put dual years on the brick or put the correct year on the brick to avoid any confusion. Again, this brick was given out on December 31st of 2004 to ring in the new year of 2005.
Lego World Record Tower 2005 Brick Lego World Record Tower 2005 Brick

This is the first brick of the 2005 Commemorative Brick program taking place at Legoland CA. This was to celebrate the world record tower building event that took place at Legoland from February 17th - 21st. Guests who helped build the tower received a brick to commemorate their participation in the building. This brick was also given out to year pass holders from February 17th - March 10th 2005.
Miniland New York 2005 Brick Miniland New York 2005 Brick

This is the second brick of the 2005 Commemorative Brick program taking place at Legoland CA. This was to celebrate the re-opening of Miniland New York. The models in this area were all taken out and given a very nice cleaning making everything look new and fresh. Also, a model of the Freedom Tower was also added to the NY skyline. This brick was given out to year pass holders for a short period of March 11th - March 18th 2005.
Junior Master Model Builder 2005 Brick Junior Master Model Builder, 2005 Brick

This is a special brick and not part of the 2005 Commemorative Brick program taking place at Legoland CA, it is considered a 'Bonus Brick' and is the first such brick of 2005. This brick is only given out to guests that take place in the Junior Master Model Builder competition that takes place the first weekend of the month starting the weekend of March 5th, 2005 and ending in November 2005, with the monthly winners in a final showdown in December. Every guest can take part in the competition and the contest is broken up into the 'under 12' and '12+' categories. Once you finish your entry you are given one brick when you enter your model into the contest.
Downtown Disney Orlando Lego Imagination Center Store Re-Opening 2005 Brick Downtown Disney Orlando Lego Imagination Center Store Re-Opening 2005 Brick (Dots Version)

This is an error version of the brick for the re-opening of the Lego store in Downtown Disney in Orlando Florida in Orlando Florida that first opened back in 1997. This version has only dots in the place where the words "Grand Re-Opening 2005" were supposed to be. This brick is also the first time a 2x2x2 brick was used in place of the standard 1x2x2 brick. The Orlando store was shipped these by mistake and at first were they were not given out to the general public. Oddly enough in August of 2006, about a year and a half after the store opened, the store started to distribute the bricks to the public. You could get one of these bricks if you signed up for the Lego Club or purchased a 'grab bag' of random parts for $8. They have also been used in store displays from time to time since the store opened on March 13th of 2005.
Downtown Disney Orlando Lego Imagination Center Store Re-Opening 2005 Brick Downtown Disney Orlando Lego Imagination Center Store Re-Opening 2005 Brick (Corrected Version)

This is the corrected version of the brick for the re-opening of the Lego store in Downtown Disney in Orlando Florida that first opened back in 1997. This version has the words "Orlando Grand Re-Opening 2005" as it was meant to be. As with the error brick, this is also a 2x2x2 brick. The sore only received a small number of these bricks due to the error in the first shipment of bricks and quickly ran out due to the high volume of visitors this store gets. This store re-opened after being closed for almost 3 months and had some major work done on it and the models on display in and around the store. The store re-opened on March 13th 2005.
Star 100.7 Party March 19, 2005 Brick Star 100.7 Party March 19, 2005 Brick

This was a surprise brick, and not part of the 2005 Commemorative Brick program taking place at Legoland CA. This was to given out for one day only (March 19th) by the radio station Star 100.7 FM on the first day of the Bricks In Bloom celebration. This is a very rare brick since not many were made and nobody knew about it in advance and they ran out if the brick the same day. Also a side note about this brick, a few days after the brick was given out the name and format of the radio station changed to Jack 100.7. So this is probably one of, if not the last "Star 100.7" item given out.
Bricks In Bloom 2005 Brick Bricks In Bloom 2005 Brick

This is the third brick of the 2005 Commemorative Brick program taking place at Legoland CA. This was to celebrate the Carlsbad Flower Fields first ever Bricks In Bloom celebration being held at Legoland CA. In this celebration guests made Lego flowers that were placed in a Lego version of the famous flower fields located in the outskirts of Miniland. After guests made a flower to be placed in the fields they received a Bricks In Bloom brick, it was also given out to year pass holders from March 19th - April 29th 2005.
Star Wars Weekend 2005 Brick Star Wars Weekend 2005 Brick

This is the fourth brick of the 2005 Commemorative Brick program taking place at Legoland CA. This was to celebrate the first ever 'Star Wars Weekend' being held at Legoland CA on April 30th and May 1st 2005. This was a really fun weekend for Legoland with lots of exciting things going on. There was costumed characters in the park, a scavenger hunt in Miniland USA where guests had to find hidden Stormtroopers, a Star Destroyer building competition where local Lego fans attempted to beat the current World Record time in building the gigantic LEGO Star Destroyer Model and a sneak peek at the 'Revenge Of The Brick' movie that was going to be shown on the Cartoon Network, and a Q&A session with Hans Henrik Sidenius, one of the lead LEGO Star Wars product designers. In addition to be given out to Legoland guests that completed the scavenger hunt during the weekend this brick was given out to year pass holders from April 30th - May 13th 2005.
Knights' Tournament 2005 Brick Knights' Tournament 2005 Brick

This is the fifth brick of the 2005 Commemorative Brick program taking place at Legoland CA. This was to celebrate the opening of the Knights' Tournament ride. This ride is exciting because it is the very first of the robotic arm rides in North America and riders can select the intensity of their ride experience. Knights’ Tournament offers five different levels of intensity, and each intensity level will provide a different experience. This brick was given out to year pass holders from May 14th - June 10th 2005.
Legoland Factory Tour Brick Legoland Factory Tour Brick

As with the Junior Master Model Builder, this brick is not part of the Commemorative Brick program taking place at Legoland CA, but rather a 'Bonus Brick'. This is the second such Bonus Brick for 2005. This is given to guests as they complete the short factory tour at Legoland CA only when an attendant is on duty. In this tour guests can watch a short movie that takes a light hearted view of how Lego parts are made, 2x4 bricks being made, how Lego parts are printed, how part assemblies are put together and finally boxed. Unlike the factory tour in Legoland Deutschland where the guests actually see the brick made and printed and then get to take that brick home with them, these bricks were made and printed elsewhere. This brick was first given out to guests on June 9th 2005.
Knights And Damsels Mini-Renaissance Faire 2005 Brick Knights And Damsels Mini-Renaissance Faire 2005 Brick

This is the sixth brick of the 2005 Commemorative Brick program taking place at Legoland CA. This was to celebrate the second annual Knights and Damsels Mini-Renaissance Faire taking place at Legoland from June 11th - 26th 2005. Legoland invited guests to take part in the events by taking part in all sorts of medieval events and festivities. Guests who completed a four-part quest were then knighted and given this brick to show they completed the park-wide quest. This brick was given out to during the faire from June 11th - 26th 2005.
A Spark In The Knight 2005 Brick A Spark In The Knight 2005 Brick

This is the seventh brick of the 2005 Commemorative Brick program taking place at Legoland CA. This was to celebrate the Knights Kingdom themed summer fireworks show at Legoland California. This brick was given out to year pass holders from July 1st - Aug 30th 2005.
Wild Woods Golf 2005 Brick Wild Woods Golf 2005 Brick

As with the Junior Master Model Builder and Factory Tour brick, this brick is not part of the Commemorative Brick program taking place at Legoland CA, but rather a 'Bonus Brick'. This is the third such Bonus Brick for 2005. This brick is to celebrate the opening of the Wilds Woods presented by La Jolla Club Golf Company mini-golf course that had its Grand Opening on July 8th 2005 at Legoland California. Spanning nearly 23,000 square feet, the new attraction will include more than 40 LEGO forest creatures (Such as hissing snakes and skunks that shoot water) along the 18-hole experience.
Ontario Mills, California Lego Store 2005 Brick Ontario Mills, California Lego Store 2005 Brick

This brick is for Lego store that opened up in the Ontario Mills Mall in Ontario, California on July 21st 2005. This is the first Lego store to open up in 2005 worldwide. Unlike 2004 Lego did not put out an advance list of new Lego store locations for 2005.
Natick, Massachusetts Lego Store 2005 Brick Natick, Massachusetts Lego Store 2005 Brick

This brick is for Lego store that opened up in the Natick Mall in Natick, Massachusetts. The store opened up on July 23rd of 2005 and is the second Lego store of 2005.
Portland, Oregon Lego Store 2005 Brick Portland, Oregon Lego Store 2005 Brick

This brick is for Lego store that opened up in the Washington Square Mall in Tigard, Oregon just outside of Portland. The store opened up on August 26th of 2005 and is the third Lego store of 2005.
Aquazone Wave Racers 2005 Brick Aquazone Wave Racers 2005 Brick

This is the eighth brick of the 2005 Commemorative Brick program taking place at Legoland CA. This was to celebrate one of Legoland's original rides, the Aquazone Wave Racers. This brick as added to the lineup at the last minute to fill a gap between the Spark In The Knight and Brick Or Treat brick. This brick was given out to year pass holders from September 1st - October 21st 2005.
Best Birthday On The Block 2005 Brick Best Birthday On The Block 2005 Brick

As with the Junior Master Model Builder and Factory Tour brick, this brick is not part of the Commemorative Brick program taking place at Legoland CA, but rather a 'Bonus Brick'. This is the fourth such Bonus Brick for 2005. This brick is only given out to guests that have the 'The Ultimate Birthday Party' at Legoland CA. This brick is not being given out to the general public so this will be a hard brick to get!
Brick Or Treat 2005 - Version A Brick or Treat, 2005 - Version A

This brick was given out at the sixth annual Brick or Treat celebration at Legoland California in 2005. It is also the ninth brick given out in the 2005 Legoland California Commemorative Duplo Brick program. You would get the brick during a walk down the trick or treat path that was set up to celebrate Halloween or in the Lego Clubhouse where the promo bricks were given out to pass holders. This year the Brick Or Treat path was moved to the Enchanted Walk area of the park. This brick was scheduled to be given out from October 22nd to October 31st, 2005 but due to issues with the 'Lego 50th Anniversary' brick that was supposed to be given out this brick was given out until December 17th of 2005.
Brick Or Treat 2005 - Version B Brick or Treat, 2005 - Version B

For the second year in a row Lego has used two different designs for the two versions of the Halloween bricks. This version of the brick was given out at the Lego stores worldwide during the Halloween season. As with last year I really do like the design on this brick much more than the design they used for the Legoland California version.
Happy Birthday Brick From Lego Stores Happy Birthday Brick From Lego Stores

This Happy Birthday brick was given out at the Lego stores. From the information I have been told there is three different ways this brick was given out. The first way is to kids who actually have their birthday party in the Lego store. The second way is they are given out to people who just ask for them. The third way they are given out is they are sold just like they were bulk brick in the Pick-A-Brick wall. There seems to be no set way that was communicated as to what to do with these bricks since they are being given out in different ways. These bricks first showed up along with the Halloween bricks in 2005.
Holiday Block Party 2005 Brick Holiday Block Party 2005 Brick

This is the tenth brick of the 2005 Commemorative Brick program taking place at Legoland CA. This brick was actually supposed to be the eleventh brick to be given out after the Lego 50th Anniversary brick, but due to issues with that brick it was not given out. The Holiday Block Party brick was to celebrate the annual Holiday Block Party Legoland has where the park is decorated in all sorts of holiday cheer. This brick was given out to year pass holders from December 17th - December 30th 2005.
New Year's Eve 2005 Brick New Year's Eve 2005 Brick

This is the eleventh, and last brick of the 2005 Commemorative Brick program taking place at Legoland CA. This was the one given out to guests who visited the park on December 31st 2005 and to passholders for the first few weeks of 2006 until the 2006 Commemorative Brick program started up. I think this brick is very misleading as if you did not know you would think this brick was to celebrate New Year's at the END of 2006, not 2005 as it really was meant to celebrate. I can only hope they follow Legoland Deutschland's example and put dual years on the brick or put the correct year on the brick to avoid any confusion. Again, this brick was given out on December 31st of 2005 to ring in the new year of 2006.
Legoland Factory Tour Brick - 2006 Legoland Factory Tour Brick - 2006

The first brick of 2006 marks a big change in the promotional bricks from Legoland California. Other than the three bricks given out at Legoland Deutschland only ten Duplo style bricks were given out in 2006, and nine of them were given out at Legoland California. In the midst of trying to control costs the bricks no longer had their pattern printed directly on them but they had stickers applied. To read more about the stickered bricks click here. This year's version of the Legoland Factory tour brick is given out in the same manner as previous years. It is given to guests as they complete the short factory tour at Legoland CA only when an attendant is on duty. This brick was first given out to guests starting in May 2006 and was given out for the while supplies lasted. All of the stickered bricks from 2006 were never offially released. They were given out while the Promotional Brick program had been put on hold.
Model Builder Search 2006 Model Builder Search Brick 2006

As with the Factory Tour brick from 2006 this brick is stickered and was never officially given out by Legoland. The 2006 Legoland California bricks were at one time announced by Legoland California complete with release dates for the bricks. But before any of them were given out Legoland California announced that the program was officially put on hold due to "production problems" and no bricks were to be given out. However, during the year the bricks were still given out to Legoland California guests. This was one of the bricks that was effected by the program being put on hold and was not given out during what was supposed to be its already announced time frame. This brick was meant to commemorate the nationwide search for a new Legoland Master Model Builder. This was a huge event that traveled across the country mainly to bring attention to Legoland California. This brick was given out to guests starting in June 2006.
Junior Master Model Builder 2006 Brick Junior Master Model Builder 2006 Brick

As with the previous bricks from 2006 this brick is stickered and was never officially given out by Legoland. Every guest can take part in the competition and the contest is broken up into the 'under 12' and '12+' categories. Once you finish your entry you are given one brick when you enter your model into the contest.
Miniland California 2006 brick Miniland California Brick 2006

As with the previous bricks from 2006 this brick is stickered and was never officially given out by Legoland. This brick was given out in the factory tour at Legoland California to guests as they finished the free tour. This brick was meant to commemorate the California area of Miniland, found in the heart of Legoland. This brick was given out to guests starting in May of 2006.
I Love Legoland California Brick 2006 I Love Legoland California Brick 2006

As with the previous bricks from 2006 this brick is stickered and was never officially given out by Legoland. This is the 2006 version of the membership brick given out to promote the fun you can have at Legoland California with an annual membership to the park. This brick was given out to guests stating in October of 2006.
Brick Or Treat 2006 - Version A Brick or Treat 2006 - Version A

This was the first officially given out brick at Legoland California in 2006. And this is also the first brick from LLCA in 2006 that is not stickered, the printing is actually n the brick itself. Another first is that the brick is only decorated on one side. This seems to have been the trade-off for not being stickered. And yet another first for this brick is that this is the first time that absolutely no effort was given to making a new and unique Halloween themed picture for the design of the brick. While having any brick is appreciated, one of the things that made the Brick Or Treat brick special was the unique design each year to go along with the Brick Or Treat logo. I can only hope Legoland California decides to put a little more effort into the design of this brick next year. This brick was given out at the seventh annual Brick or Treat celebration at Legoland California in 2006. You would get the brick during a walk down the trick or treat path that was set up to celebrate Halloween or in the Lego Clubhouse where the promo bricks were given out to pass holders. This year the Brick Or Treat path was moved to the Enchanted Walk area of the park. This brick was given out in the last part of October during the 2006 Brick Or Treat celebration.
Brick or Treat 2006 - Version B

This is the only Duplo style brick not given out By Legoland California in 2006. This brick is also stickered and not printed. This would prove to be the only stickered brick given out to date outside of LLCA that was stickered. For the third year in a row Lego has used two different designs for the two versions of the Halloween bricks. This version of the brick was given out at the Lego stores worldwide during the Halloween season.
Holiday Block Party 2006 Brick

This brick was the second officially given out Legoland California brick of 2006. And as with the Brick Or Treat brick this brick is only printed on one side. This shows a new trend for the LLCA bricks, and while collectors would rather have both sides printed they will take printed over stickered. The Holiday Block Party brick was to celebrate the annual Holiday Block Party Legoland has where the park is decorated in all sorts of holiday cheer. This brick was given out to year pass holders during the Holiday Block Party in December of 2006.
New Year's Eve 2006 Brick

Legoland California continues on their yearly quest to confuse the general public yet again in 2006. This brick was given out to guests who visited the park on December 31st 2006 and to pass holders for the first few weeks of 2007 This brick is very misleading as if you did not know you would think this brick was to celebrate New Year's at the END of 2007, not 2006 as it really was meant to celebrate. I can only hope they follow Legoland Deutschland's example and put dual years on the brick or put the correct year on the brick to avoid any confusion. Again, this brick was given out on December 31st of 2006 to ring in the new year of 2007.
Miniland Las Vegas 2007 Brick

2007 Started off with the same way 2006 ended, single side printed bricks. The first brick given out was a brick to celebrate the new Miniland Las Vegas area. Legoland had a contest to decide the newest area of Miniland and Las Vegas was the clear winner. The logo used on the brick is the same logo that was used in marketing campaigns and in the Miniland Las Vegas area. This brick was given out to pass members from March 29th to May 28th 2007.
Bricks In Bloom 2007 Brick

The Bricks In Bloom brick was a hold-out from 2006 stickered brick series, but was never given out in 2006. This brick was given out when supplies of the Miniland Las Vegas brick and other bricks were exhausted. This brick had no official release date and was given out to Legoland California visitors after they finished the Legoland factory tour starting in April 2007.
Captain Cranky's Challenge 2007 Brick

Captain Cranky's Challenge is a popular attraction in the extremely popular Pirate Shores water play area. This ride is a huge boat that rocks back and forth on a U track and spins while it moves along the path. Captain Cranky usually has a pretty long line of people waiting to take on his challenge. This brick, despite having a very boring design, proudly states that you survived the challenge (if the challenge is waiting in the line or riding the ride is up to you I guess). The ride opened on May 24th 2007 and the bricks were given out to pass members from May 24th - June 22nd 2007.
Junior Master Model Builder 2007 Brick

This is a special brick and not part of the normal 2007 Commemorative Brick program taking place at Legoland California, it is considered a 'Bonus Brick'. This brick is only given out to guests that take place in the Junior Master Model Builder competition that takes place the first weekend of the month starting in March 2007 and ending in November 2007, with the monthly winners in a final showdown in December. Every guest can take part in the competition and the contest is broken up into the 'under 12' and '12+' categories. Once you finish your entry you are given one brick when you enter your model into the contest.
Star Wars Weekend 2007 Brick

One of the most popular events of all time made a triumphant return to Legoland California on June 23rd and 24th. This weekend has proven to be one of the most popular events held at Legoland California, challenged only by the long running Brick Or Treat celebration held every October. This weekend held many of the same events as the previous year, displays, contests and costume characters throughout the park. The event was so popular that they actually ran out of bricks only a few hours into the very first day and had none to give out on Sunday. Legoland California did find a small supply of them later on in the year and did give those out to pass members, but even with that many of the visitors during Star Wars weekends only come to the park on that weekend and had lost their only shot at obtaining these special Star Wars collectibles.
Legoland Factory Tour 2007 Brick

As with the Junior Master Model Builder, this brick is not part of the Commemorative Brick program taking place at Legoland CA, but rather a 'Bonus Brick'. This is given to guests as they complete the short factory tour at Legoland California only when an attendant is on duty. This brick was first given out to guests on July 2007.
Lego Club 20th Anniversary Brick

The Lego Club celebrated its 20th anniversary in 2007 and this brick was give out at Legoland California to celebrate the milestone. The Lego Club is the free worldwide club that anybody can join and is a very popular Lego resource. Lego Club members took a voucher found in the Lego magazine to Legoland and were given this brick along with a button and a poster. No other activities were planned for the weekend other than the giveaways. This Lego Club Weekend event is similar to the yearly Lego Club Weekend held at Legoland Deutschland. This brick was given out to Lego Club members in August of 2007 at Legoland California.
1000steine-Land 2007 Brick

The 1000steine brick is the very first fan made brick that was authorised by The Lego Company. This brick was made to celebrate the 5th anniversary of 1000steine-Land which is the largest fan run Lego event in Europe. Special permission was given to the folks over at 1000steine.de to use the Lego logo on the bricks. Only 285 of these bricks were printed with the Lego logo. There is also a version of this brick without the Lego logo, but since that is not an official brick it is not included on this site. This brick was given out during 1000steine-land 2007 that took place August 24th - 26th.
Brick or Treat 2007

This brick was given out at the eighth annual Brick or Treat celebration at Legoland California in 2007. Unfortunately this is the second year in a row that absolutely no effort was given to making a new and unique Halloween themed picture was made for the design of the brick. While having any brick is appreciated, one of the things that made the Brick Or Treat brick special was the special and unique design each year to go along with the Brick Or Treat logo. I can only hope Legoland California decides to put a little more effort into the design of this brick next year. This brick was given out at the Brick Or Treat event that took place in Legoland California on the weekends in October starting October 13th and ending on October 28th 2007.
Brick or Treat After Dark 2007

For the first time in the history of Brick Or Treat / Halloween bricks there was no Halloween bricks given out at the Lego stores. However, there was a second Halloween brick given out this year during the first ever Brick Or Treat After Dark celebration. This new extended hours After Dark portion of the popular Brick Or Treat event was an attempt to expand the reach of the already wildly popular event. In past years the Brick Or Treat had all of the events during the day. Starting this year they did pull some of the events during the day but added even more events during the "after Dark" portion of the event. Parts of the park did stay open for the extra hours of the After Dark event including Miniland USA, Castle Hill and the Imagination Zone areas of the parks including all rides and attractions in those areas only. Guests who wanted to attend the After Dark celebration only could buy a ticket for $15 that granted them access tot he park starting at 5pm. Also if you went to the park on one of the days the event was going on it was included free with your ticket. The Brick Or Treat After Dark only took place from 5pm - 8pm the 3 Saturdays (October 13th, 20th and 27th) of the regular 2007 Brick Or Treat Event
Holiday Block Party 2007 Brick

This is another no-frills brick and was to celebrate the 2007 Holiday Block Party. The Holiday Block Party is the time when Legoland California is decorated in all sorts of holiday cheer. This brick was given out to year pass holders from November 22nd - December 31st 2007.
Duplo 40th Anniversary Brick

In addition to 2007 being the 20th anniversary of the Lego Club it was also the 40th anniversary of the Duplo Brick. In late November there was a party for the employees in Billund to celebrate this anniversary. And the party favor given out was a special 2x4 Duplo brick along with a "Congratulations" letter declaring love of the Duplo brick on one side and a copy of the application for the patent for the Duplo brick on the other side.
New Year's Eve 2007 Brick

Legoland California continues on their yearly quest to confuse the general public yet again in 2007. This brick was given out to guests who visited the park on December 31st 2007 and to pass holders for the first few weeks of 2008 This brick is very misleading as if you did not know you would think this brick was to celebrate New Year's at the END of 2007, not 2008 as it really was meant to celebrate. I can only hope they follow Legoland Deutschland's example and put dual years on the brick or put the correct year on the brick to avoid any confusion. Again, this brick was given out on December 31st of 2007 to ring in the new year of 2008.
Lego Indiana Jones After Dark 2008 Brick

This is the first ever Duplo Promotional Brick ever given out at Legoland Windsor. Many Lego Indiana Jones activities took place over 3 days in March including a night time laser, pyrotechnic and fire display which takes place on the Adventure Land lake. Other activities included where adventurers could uncover the mysterious Emerald of Fire by deciphering hieroglyphics scattered around the park in order to free the precious artifact from its hiding place. and the park’s Circus Tent was transformed into the Tomb of Kings, where they can encounter slithering snakes and scary spiders. Families could also enjoy a fun-packed show filled with games and audience participation. The event took place at Legoland Windsor during March 21st - 23rd 2008 and the bricks were given out to park guests during the same time frame.
Land Of Adventure 2008 Brick

This brick is to celebrate an entire new land at Legoland California, the Land Of Adventure which is based on 1920s Egypt. And just like Pirate Shores, which was the previous land that was opened up at Legoland California, is has proved to be very popular. The new land includes 3 new rides and one play area. The rides include Legoland California's first ever dark ride, Lost Kingdom Adventure. Which is based in ancient temple ruins, Lost Kingdom Adventure puts you inside a desert jeep and takes you on a journey to recover stolen treasure by blasting targets with laser guns along the way. The other rides are Cargo Ace is for the young children and lets them become pilots as they fly suspended airplanes around an oval track. The third ride is Beetle Bounce which bounces kids up to 15 feet in the air. The play area, Pharaoh’s Revenge, is an enclosed play area where kids and adults can shoot hundreds of foam balls at targets and each other. This brick was given out to pass members from June 1st - August 1st 2008.
Legoland Factory Tour 2008 Brick

As with the Junior Master Model Builder, this brick is not part of the Commemorative Brick program taking place at Legoland CA, but rather a 'Bonus Brick'. This is given to guests as they complete the short factory tour at Legoland California only when an attendant is on duty. This brick was first given out to guests on June 2008.
Junior Master Model Builder 2008 Brick

This is a special brick and not part of the normal 2008 Commemorative Brick program taking place at Legoland California, it is considered a 'Bonus Brick'. This brick is only given out to guests that take place in the Junior Master Model Builder competition that takes place the first weekend of the month starting in mid 2008 and ending in November 2008, with the monthly winners in a final showdown in December. Every guest can take part in the competition and the contest is broken up into the 'under 12' and '12+' categories. Once you finish your entry you are given one brick when you enter your model into the contest. This brick was given out starting in July 2008.
www.LegoClub.com 2008 Brick

This brick was meant to promote the free Lego Club membership. Membership to the Lego Club is free and you get free magazines sent to you. There was no special events to go along with this brick unlike last year. This brick was given out to year pass holders from November 22nd - December 31st 2007.
Star Wars Days 2008 Brick

One of the most popular events of all time made a triumphant return to Legoland California on September 13th and 14th. Starting this year the event is now called "Star Wars Days" replacing the "Star Wars Weekend" name it has previously gone by. This weekend has proven to be one of the most popular events held at Legoland California, challenged only by the long running Brick Or Treat celebration held every October. This weekend held many of the same events as the previous year, displays, contests and costume characters throughout the park. With an event as popular as this you would think extra steps would be taken to ensure that everything went off without any flaws. However, when the time for the Star Wars Days event to happen there was no Duplo Commemorative bricks to be found. Somehow the bricks were delayed and guests got only paper vouchers to redeem for a Star Wars Days brick later when they did finally come in. And when the bricks did get to Legoland California in October they were given out to pass members and people with the vouchers. But for the second year in a row Legoland California managed to disappoint many of the visitors during Star Wars days only come to the park on that weekend and had lost their only shot at obtaining these special Star Wars collectibles.
Amazing Machines 2008 Brick

This is the second ever Duplo Promotional Brick ever given out at legoland Windsor. During the Amazing Machines event there were all sorts of displays at Legoland Windsor. Some machines were there to perform stunts for park visitors. They included Monster trucks and motorbikes from both America and Europe and the X-treme Motorcycle Stunt Trials Display Team. There were lots of other machines there on display that guests could learn about. These machines included Harley Davidson motorcycles, American super cars including Hummers and Mustangs as well as classic Aston Martin and Lotus sports cars. Guests could also get insight into the amazing machines used by the Emergency Services. Equipment and vehicles used by Fire and Rescue Service will be on display plus you had the chance to meet members of the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI). The Army Air Corps’ helicopter display team, the Blue Eagles, will be jetting in for the weekend. Flying enthusiasts can meet the pilots and ground crew that will be showing off their impressive aircraft which include Lynx, Gazelle, Allouette and Sioux helicopters. Younger guests will be able to hop aboard the Thomas The Tank Engine™ land train and make friends with Sir Topham Hatt, better known as ‘The Fat Controller’. They can also see powerful JCB vehicles and miniature steam engine displays. The event took place September 22nd - 23rd 2008.
Brick or Treat 2008

This brick was given out at the ninth annual Brick or Treat celebration at Legoland California in 2008. Unfortunately this is the second year in a row that absolutely no effort was given to making a new and unique Halloween themed picture was made for the design of the brick. In previous years Legoland California would make some cute Lego themed Halloween minifigure for the design of the brick. While having any brick is appreciated, one of the things that made the Brick Or Treat brick special was the unique design each year to go along with the Brick Or Treat logo. I can only hope Legoland California decides to put a little more effort into the design of this brick next year. This brick was given out at the Brick Or Treat event that took place in Legoland California every weekend (Saturdays and Sundays) in October during 2008.
Brick or Treat After Dark 2008

For the second time in the history of Brick Or Treat / Halloween bricks there was no Halloween bricks given out at the Lego stores. However, as with last year, there was a second Halloween brick given out at Legoland California during the second Brick Or Treat After Dark celebration. This extended hours After Dark portion of the popular Brick Or Treat event was an attempt to expand the reach of the already wildly popular event. In past years the Brick Or Treat had all of the events during the day. With the After Dark event they did pull some of the events during the day but added even more events during the "After Dark" portion of the event. The Brick Or Treat After Dark only took place from 5pm - 8pm every Saturday night in October 2008.
Star Wars 2008 Fireworks Brick

This is the third ever Duplo Promotional Brick ever given out at Legoland Windsor. This year Legoland Windsor is celebrating the end of its 2008 season with six nights of spectacular fireworks, and this year the theme is Lego Star Wars. The 2008 Star Wars Fireworks was held on October 25th, 26th, 31st and November 1st, 2nd and 8th 2008.
Lego Indiiana Jones Legoland Discovery Centre 2008 Brick

This is the first ever Duplo Promotional brick given out at the various Legoland Discovery Centre locations. From what is understood there was no special event that these bricks were for, they were just given out starting in December 2008.
Lego Indiiana Jones Legoland California 2008 Brick

Everybody loves to recycle, even Lego! This time The Lego Indiana Jones brick was given out to pass holders at Legoland California. The only difference between this brick and the previous two bricks is the logo on the back side of the brick. It is believed that since the Lego company, and not Legoland California, designed and distributed this brick to mare than one location is the reason why it is printed on both sides. The bricks that are designed by Legoland California has been missing the printing n the second side for some time now. It is very nice to see a return to the double sided printing even if it is for this one brick. What this brick does show is how important it is to have printing on both sides. Legoland California is not the only place giving out Duplo Promotional Bricks and it is nice to have that "Legoland California" marker on it. There are people who collect these bricks worldwide and they range from the casual collector to the hard-core collector. Having the location that the brick was given out on it is a great resource for these collectors that is worth more than the marginal manufacturing cost savings that skimping out on printing one side of the brick saves. Lets hope Legoland California gets back with the program and starts printing on both sides and return to the glory days once again. There was no event this brick was meant to celebrate, this brick was given out to pass members as a surprise brick starting in early December 2008.
New Year's Eve 2008 Brick

Legoland California continues on their yearly quest to confuse the general public yet again in 2008. This brick was given out to guests who visited the park on December 31st 2008 and to pass holders for the first few weeks of 2008 This brick is very misleading as if you did not know you would think this brick was to celebrate New Year's at the END of 2008, not 2009 as it really was meant to celebrate. I can only hope they follow Legoland Deutschland's example and put dual years on the brick or put the correct year on the brick to avoid any confusion. Again, this brick was given out on December 31st of 2008 to ring in the new year of 2008.
